Transmutation

Virtual Tea 02:49
If you want me, come find me. I'll be waiting. What are you trying to do when the meaning of an action is the action itself? Does anything feel real? Escaping the unknown by clutching the first rock in the sea. If you want me, come find me. I'll be waiting.

Cherboug 02:36
I wore a halo into the sunshine today Sat down upon the sand and let my soul begin to sway out into the ocean.

Had a Place 04:30
For all the ways you could have tried to make an introduction, distant faces learn your name. For all the times you tried to hide. Past the point of caring, but it's better that you did. Maybe it was scary, but at least you had a place. Some years later you would find all your competition were ghosts from the past. And all the prophets of your time fell for easy answers, you couldn't do the same. Maybe it was painful, but you know it's the only way. Severing the input, a mistake you never made.

Tell Me 03:08
Take me with you, let me see something new. I need to feel the warmth and comfort that once seemed so true. Maybe a daydream. Tell me how to come back and see you as you are. Tell me you know why I feel so inhuman, that I won't fade in your eyes. Tell me I'm still here.

Prometheum X 04:27
Take away the chance to live your plan. Do we ever change? When you see a warm and pretty smile, still it makes you cry

about

"In 2007 I moved from Atlanta, to Augusta, then Athens.
Transmutation was written and recorded over the course of those moves.

"We recorded a ton of tracks from 2004-2006, and I made at least two separate attempts at starting an album, but I could never get it cohesive enough. In early 2007 it all came together, with contributions from Amber and Sean.

"While making the album, I was also working on an original DJ set for Wired at Athfest. Since the DJ tracks weren't long enough to necessitate a full album, it made sense to combine them."
